 Great hits, but a few notable absences

For those of you unfamiliar with Bobby Vinton a.k.a. The Polish Prince, during the era when rock and roll first blossomed, Vinton swam against the current with love ballad after love ballad, shooting up the charts. There are his "color" songs, ROSES ARE RED, BLUE ON BLUE, and BLUE VELVET, along with familiar song after familiar song.
BUT . . .
I live in Southeastern Michigan, where there are large populations of Americans with Polish ancestry, and with Italian ancestry. So, where is LA POLOMBA BLANCA and THE POLISH LOVE SONG? They're on the radio here, but not on this CD - or many other Vinton CDs.

As much as I love the music of Bobby Vinton, I didn’t feel that I got a very good value at the $24.99 price that I paid for this CD. A much better and much more lengthy collection of Bobby Vintons’ work can be found in a triple CD that is due for release later this month. It is called “All Time Greatest Hits”, with a total of 36 songs. And the list price is $17.98 at Amazon.com. You’d get more than I got, and at a much better price.
