This ISN'T Joseph. I am his oldest daughter.

I hate Kidz Bop. For proof, check out all my other reviews.

First of all, these kidz can't sing. Second of all, they are an embarassment to every artist they use. Next, They BUTCHERED Beyonce, Outkast, Clay Aiken (they have crossed my line), Justin Timberlake, and Lumidee.

Kidz Bop. Do yourselves and the world a favor. GO AWAY.

    These kids r teh BEST!

Reviewer: Anonymous       08-05-2004
I saw this CD on TV and I thought it was cute, until I heard these little kids sing. It was horrid! I recommend Now or Totally hits, not this. Oh, and guess what? ANOTHER DUMB CD IS COMING OUT IN LATE AUGUST!!!!!!! ''I can't wait!'' Yes I can, I can wait until they go outta business!

    I think this is great!!!!!!!!!!!
Reviewer: Aaron "Aaron"   Reading, PA    07-24-2004
Ok, If you loved the first 4 Kids Bop CDs as much as me, then this one you'll really hate! It has the great songs that can't seem to get off the radio performed by no-named preteens.
1. Crazy in Love negative 5/10
2. Hey Ya! negative 1/10
3. Are You Happy Now? 1/10 (hey Branch is hot)
4. Invisible negative 10/10 (wtf is this)
5. It's My Life (I'm pretty sure this song is by No Doubt) negative 100/10

I'm done wasting my time giving them ratings, cause they all suck. Do me a favor and click the back button for even thinking about buying this. Go and type in Brand New - Deja Entendu for some good music for you and your kids to enjoy, trust me.

    Cornier than corn itself

Yuck it's kidz bop. It has a song that tells kids gonorrhea is a chocolate bar. It says s doesn't exist and replaced s with a z! A rip off of Dragon Ball Z, which I also hate alot. Kids bop is bad, it is evil. But makes a great treat for Tony Robbins, since Tony Robbins will eat anything!

    Music for the mentally handicapped.
Reviewer: Camalex (Like, Texas, yo.)       07-17-2004
Look, if you want the song, actually buy the CD. Who really wants to hear kids dub over a hit song? That's the equivilant of me singing into the microphone for a song I like, recording it, and making millions. Does anyone here want to hear me sing Nelly? Only $29.95! This deserves a LUEshi/10.

    Probably better than the originals
Reviewer: Leonard Snerdley   Tacoma, WA    07-15-2004
As anyone who knows me knows, I love good pop music. I try and listen to the radio to stay hip with what everyone is doing, but I often find myself nostalgic for the days of Toto, Journey, Styx, Triumph, Billy Vera, Chicago, the Platters, Kool and the Gang, Vitamin Z, Aztec Camera, the Jets, DeBarge, El Debarge, the Commodoores, Michael McDonald and Terrence Trent D'Arby. The days when music MEANT something. Now, even when I can understand the words, the sentiment behind the music is angry and hurtful.
Which is why I love these Kidz Bop CDs. I'm sure I'm not in the target demographic, but it's so refreshing to hear good tunes, removed from a context of anger and placed in a nice, friendly environment. Now, I can get down to "Hey Ya", without worrying about any of its overtones. I can jam to "Are You Happy Now?", which has been transformed from an angry, snide rocker into a query, where the singer is actually curious if you're happy. That's much easier for me to handle. And what about "Crazy In Love"? Infinitely better here.

If I had my way, top 40 radio would be playing these versions, instead of the originals. It's so great to see that people can turn pop music into something positive and uplifting. Thanks, KidzBop.

     Great for Preteens

This CD got so many negative reviews from people who were reviewing the actual quality of the songs, not the purpose that the album was meant to serve. Kidz Bop CDs are for kids who are too old for little kid music, but too young to listen to the actual songs that the Kidz Bop songs are based on. I would much rather have my eight-year-old listening to Kidz Bop, then the actual songs which may contain words and material that I don't feel she is ready to hear. With this CD, she can listen to today's popular songs and I don't have to worry about innapropriate material. So maybe the Kidz Bop singers are not Grammy worthy or appropriate for people who are old enough and mature enough to listen to the actual songs, but my daughter loves Kidz Bop, and that is really all that matters, so in that case, I would definetly recommend this CD.

     .....ouch!..

FIRST OF ALL, WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE ARTISTS WHO R SINGING THE SONG, IF IT WEREN'T FOR THEM, THE FREAKIN STUPID SUCKY SINGING KIDS WOULDN'T EVEN MAKE THIS RIDICULOUS CD. I FOR ONE THINK THAT THEY DIS THE ARTISTS WHO SPEND A LOT OF TIME AND MONEY TO MAKE THESE SINGLES. PEOPLE WHO BUY THIS KIDZ BOP CD ARE WASTING NOT ONLY THERE MONEY, BUT ALSO THEIR LIFE!

    stupid stupid STUPID!!!!!!!
Reviewer: Anonymous       06-29-2004
this CD sucks! the kids singing it can't sing to save their life!whenever I see the commercial it looks like they're making fun of the REAL artists who worked hard on those songs.I'm only 11 and I could sing betteer then them. Oh, and not all songs sound good when there are 20 poeple singing them.(...)

Bestest best best CD ever made in time!!!

Hi friends!!! One day I was at school listening to my Kidz Bop 4 CD until a kid in my class said there was a Kidz Bop 5!!! I couldn't believe it!!! So when I got home I said to my mommie that I wanted to buy it and she says "Sure why not!!!" Woohoo!!! I listen to it everyday and everyday and everyday and all my classmates say that Kidz Bop sucks!!! I got so sad that I cried!!! I asked my mommie and daddie if Kidz Bop was bad and they said "No way it's fun happy pop!!!" And the kids who sing it are so cool!!! I wanna be like them!!! Who needs the real singers when we have cool cool kids!!! Well see you later!!!

I'd give it zero if I could
Reviewer: anna   Amityville,NY USA    04-29-2004
Kidz Bop is a collection of in my opinion some really great popular songs. Although the songs are good, I'd like to point out that the children singing these songs have voices that are positivly repulsive and will make you sick. The people that say kidz bop has disgusting words, may I tell you that because these songs are popular, the children listening to this will here the songs anyway. Why don't you let them listen to these songs by the real artists so they don't grow up to have voices as bad as these kids do. You're going to have to let go some time.

WARNING: NOT SUNG BY ACTUAL ARTISTS!
Reviewer: Eivom   New Fairfield, CT    03-31-2004
For those people that have seen the commericials and think that these KIDZ BOP albums are real compilations of songs like the NOW CD's, they are not. This album contains clean versions of hit songs sung by a group known as the KIDZ BOP KIDZ. Don't be fooled! Then again, this CD might be good for parents who like to censor their children. As for me, it sucks.

    Bop = Slop
Reviewer: A mom   Salem, OR    03-19-2004
I listened to it and was saddened by what I heard. There are so many real children's artists making music for kids that celebrate childhood. This particular compilation and the whole series is just down right wrong.
Take it from me - do you kids a favor and buy them some real kid's music.

Fabulous tunes that my kids love
Reviewer: Anonymous       03-16-2004
I bought this for my boys because every time they heard the commercial on tv, they would get up and start dancing. This is the kind of music they play on the radio station we usually listen to, so I was not offended or surprised at all. My boys are too young to understand some of the racier lyrics (outkast's 'hey ya'), so I am not too worried. If your kids are listening to almost any radio station, they hear this stuff every day - it is a compilation of some very popular tunes that kids love. The only difference is that it is sung by kids. And I don't see anything wrong with that.

I would never purchase this for my grandkids
Reviewer: Anonymous       03-07-2004
I listened to this CD before purchasing for my grandkids.....this is out and out awful. It's a CD with adult an adult theme....definitely not for KIDZ.

Travesty doesn't begin to describe it..
Reviewer: Lauren Gargani   Mahwah, NJ United Stat    03-05-2004
It's not so much the fact that these recordings are completely awful renditions of the original music; the original music - with some few exceptions - wasn't remotely good to begin with. The tragedy here is that the makers of these CD's - and the parents who buy them - won't allow kids to be kids or provide them with music with the least hint of redeeming value or age appropriateness.
Instead, we let our children listen to this. Do most parents care enough about their kids to even consider the message they're getting from these songs? "Kidz Bop" is children singing songs with overtly adult themes - face it, most of them sexual, particularly "Hey Ya" (a great, catchy song for adults to appreciate at their discretion, which, at the end of the day, still contains references to sex and orgasm). Changing lyrics does not make pop songs appropriate for children. Do we really need to indoctrinate our children into this ridiculous pop culture before their time?
These kids will be wanting to listen to songs about sex on their own in a few years anyway. Why not turn off the "Kidz Bop" and give them a little more time to be children while they still can?
And to those who say that kids' exposure to pop culture is inevitable anyway: that attitude is beyond irresponsible, and any parent worth being one will have the decency to take responsibility for what his or her child sees and hears.

There is a special place in Perdition...
Reviewer: Adam Rakunas   Santa Monica, CA USA    03-03-2004
...for the people who thought this was a good idea. I can see the meeting that spawned this awful idea: "Hey, people like pop music, right? And they like hearing kids sing, right? So, why not put 'em together? It'll be great!" And then God struck that entire meeting dead, but apparently not before they'd already sent out memos and kicked this horrifying experience into motion.
I mean, Outkast? I love Outkast. I still love "Hey Ya!" even though it's been overplayed. It's a great, happy, up song. It's also about sex, and you know what? I don't need to hear a bunch of kids singing "Don't want to meet your daddy/just want you in my caddy." I don't *want* to hear kids sing that.

You know what the real travesty is? It's that this is the *sixth* CD in the series. Let's hope God's a little quicker on the trigger when someone thinks about cutting a seventh one of these things.
