    Not Bad

This double album has plenty of songs on it from a certain era. Some of the songs seem a bit dated, but it has about ten real winners on it. It could be for you.

    Great dance CD
Reviewer: Laura Robeson "music freak"   Columbus, OH USA    07-22-2005
The top songs for me are:
"Call Me" by Le Click
"Free" by Ultra Nate
"In a Dream" by Rockell
"Better Off Alone" by Alice Deejay
"Nobody's Supposed to Be Here" by Deborah Cox

It's a great CD to drive to, do work to, take a shower to... anything. There are a couple songs I skip, Barbie Girl and Blue, but that's not too bad. Check it out.

    excellent complimation
Reviewer: J. Jones "choreohype"   Sugar Land, TX United States    12-31-2004
this complimation cd is HOT 2 DEF!!! you think you know but you have no idea.... this cd could play in my cd player for life... it has all kinds of hits...

you cannot lose with the best track on the album 'in a dream' by rockell.... this song was the perfect skating rink song... the beat to the song sold me...

they have a bunch of others that are excellent pieces of work...
melanie c. aka sporty spice-"i turn to u"
deborah cox- 'nobody suppose to be here'
jocelyn enriquez-"do you miss me>?'
the bucketheads-'boom!"
madison ave.' don't call me baby'
amber- 'this is your night'
aqua- 'barbie girl'
alice deejay-'better off alone'

the only song i hate is the 'blue' song... that song is too friggin annoyin... and there are a few fillers but the songs listed makes up for it....

if you like to party for hours buy it.... parties will go all night....trust me..

    I like it!

I had no idea there was a 2 disc version until I was looking for a song title for a friend tonight. I purchased the single disc version at a store earlier this year and it has been a constant in my gym bag ever since. It's got consistant enough beats to make a workout go by quickly and when set on random play it varies the workout enough to keep me from getting bored.

For those who are complaining about the disc length, check the song list before purchasing. That's a dead giveaway that it's a single disc.

    This is false advertising !!

The Fired Up! CD advertised on TV was a double CD. I am very disappointed. I dont think Amazon should be selling this if it is not what was advertised.

    Misunderstanding
Reviewer: Charles Blake Eiwen   Spotsy, VA United States    09-19-2004
Some of these reviewers are somehow fooled by its description of the cds enclosed with this edition of Fired Up!. Amazon.com offers two versions of Fired Up!, the one disc and the two disc. As long as you READ what you are buying you should have no trouble. Anyhow, the cd is nice for keeping you pump, either the one disc or two disc. Please READ before buying, and remember they are BOTH offered, just READ!

I'll have to agree with "Disappointed" and "Buyer Beware" - this is NOT the "Fired Up" advertised on TV. Nor have I seen this compilation in ANY store as one disk! I don't believe it should be marketed as "Fired Up". It's false advertising! The music is good, but I am extremely disappointed...I could have paid the same amount in a store and received BOTH CDs!

    Disappointed

This is not the 2 cd set I though I was getting. Is is 1 cd. The CD case says AS SEEN ON TV but the one on musicspace.com has 2 cd's. Im angry!! Now I have to sell this CD to get the right one! 1st expierance on Amazon and my last. I'll go back to Ebay.

    Title Says It All!
Reviewer: Aaron   Ohio, USA    03-13-2004
This is a near perfect dance album. It's a sort of follow-up to the smash 2001 hit "Pulse." But while "Pulse" consisted of mainly early/mid 90's dance hits, "Fired Up" continues on ranging from the mid-90's into 2000. Although this compilation consists of club music, some were actually pretty big hits at pop radio too namely the songs by Deborah Cox, ATC, Amber, Gina G, Alice Deejay and Eiffel 65.
It's a very good listen overall, but there are definite stand-outs. Melanie C.'s #1 dance/club smash "I Turn To You" is an awesome track and it's too bad that it never crossed over to American radio. ATC's "Around the World" was an irresistible club and radio smash back in the spring of 2001. Alice Deejay had a huge dance hit with the instantly recognizable hit "Better Off Alone" the summer of 2000. "Barbie Girl" by Aqua was a worldwide dance sensation nack in late 97 and is a novelty song if ever there was one. "Do You Miss Me" and "Just A little Bit" are definitely hot dance tracks as are "One More Try" and "Call Me." Eiffel 65's top 5 Hot 100 hit "Blue" was inescapable around the turn of the century. However, the undisputed champ is Amber's 1996 dance smash "This Is Your Night" that managed to rule the clubs and radio both but never became old. It's catchy as heck.

For fans of dance music, this is a must have! It will be sure to get you just as the title says. Dance music really is not as good and as mainstream as it was in the 90's. It really needs to make a comeback. Long live dance music!!

Buyer Beware: Only Half the Songs
Reviewer: A. Hall "Alicia M-B. Hall"   Takoma Park, MD United States    02-28-2004
I've wanted this collection for a long time, but was put off by the prospect of paying full price. When I saw it on sale at Target, I gladly plunked down $14, only to find out later that this version has only one CD and therefore only half the songs advertised on TV. More specifically, most of the songs I wanted were on the second CD which isn't available separately yet. I don't know if Music Space intends to release the second CD soon.

I Obviously Like It, I'm Not Surprised That I Like It

You've seen the TV commercial for it, have you? I knew this is something I wanted, and naturally I bought it and I like it. I like it because it has dance songs of the late 90s and because I'm a huge freak of techno music. If they released "Pulse" five years after it's release date in 2001, these would be the songs on "Pulse".
"Fired Up" has songs like "Better Off Alone" by Alice Deejay. I loved "Better Off Alone". It was my number one song in 2001. I wonder what happened to Alice Deejay. They should've released another new album. Where's Alice Deejay now? Jocelyn Enriquez's "Do You Miss Me" is in it. There's a part in the song where the drums and synthesizers change which sounds like it's in a mixed compilation. Remember that this isn't a mixed compilation. I still like it. There's also Ultra Nate's "Free" her biggest hit. Ultra Nate is her real name, (Really, it is) did you know? And there's the Bucketheads' "The Bomb", possibly the most cartoonish house song in the mid 90s and I love it. "This Is Your Night" by Amber is in it. She's one of the very first Euro divas to make an impact in the US. This was the song that got me into European dance music. "Kernkraft 400" by Zombie Nation's in "Fired Up". That recognizable composition, I've heard it over in Ireland a number of times and I couldn't get enough of it. There's also "Around The World" by ATC, "I Turn To You" by Melanie C, "Barbie Girl" by Aqua, "In A Dream" by Rockell, "One More Try" by Kristine W, and more. It doesn't have the song "Fired Up" by The Funky Green Dogs even though this is the name of the album, but that's okay.
I must be that predictable about house and techno. I just simply love it. Do I make the r

    Old songs alert!

That was what I was thinking when mum bought me this album when she and dad was in the US a week ago. It's a nice collection of dance hits from the end of the 90's and the beginning of 2000's. One thing I noticed though, was that the Hex Hector Radio Mix of Melanie C's "I Turn To You" had a much harder sound than the radio mix that is on the european single and I also noticed the piano parts and strings from the original is featured in the radio mix on this compilation. The bassline also stays more true to the original version. Apparently Hex did two radio mixes, one for the US and one for Europe. The other songs are a fun "blast from the past"-experience, and this album is a great party warm-up.

    EXCELLENT DANCE MIX!!!
Reviewer: John Kirk Vincent   Bozeman, Mt USA    01-28-2004
This is one of the best dance mixes ever! Although it is only one cd compared to the double disc set, I believe that they picked the best songs of all for a compiled album. I definately reccomend this album!
