Quick Chop
Description: Perfect for: Vegetables, Garlic, Onions, Egg Salad, Meat, Nuts, Fruit, Even Ice!
The second you tap down, 6 carbon-steel blades shop your food perfectly. Then, as they retract, they cleverly rotate. So the next time you tap down, the blades chop in a completely different area.

Dull Dull Blades Reviewer: Jeremy Wichita, KS 02-07-2005 A friend of mine had a similar chopper from a expensive kitchen supplies store and it worked well. I bought "Quick Chop" and was extensively dissappointed. The blades so dull you have to slam the handle down to get it to cut anything. These choppers can be nifty, but go to a kitchen supply store and fork out the 25 bucks if you want one to work.

Great - while it works Reviewer: MaidenN 12-16-2004 I loved this item for the first month I bought it. It could chop items as fine as you please in much less time. However, I can't get the blades to stay in the slots anymore. After about a month, the blades would come lose while chopping and would bend as a result. Now they won't stay in the slots at all, so its useless. I really love the idea, but need to find a better quality design before I'll buy another one.

Worked great for Thanksgiving Dinner prep Reviewer: Cvee 11-26-2004 Funny how people either love this chopper or hate it. I'm not sure eveyone writing reviews gave it a fair chance because my husband and I just used ours for the first time yesterday and loved it. We hate to chop stuff so were dreading all the prep work for Thanksgiving Dinner. This little chopper did a great (and quick) job of chopping onions, celery and brocolli. Four 'chops' and the vegetables were pretty finely chopped. Took maybe three minutes to do two large heads of brocolli. I thought the cleanup was a breeze - unscrew the clear piece and just shake the pieces in hot soapy water - easy! We liked it so much we decided on the spot that we would write a review, something we rarely, if ever, do.

I Dislike it Reviewer: Buffy Andersn 06-21-2004 This is horrible, first of all you have to Cut up the vegetables anyway to FIT IN THE CHOPPER! Then, the blade is not sharp at all so it doesn't chop all the way thru things, third,, my hand kills after using it, it hurts soo bad, you have to POUND it for it to work, it makes a big mess, you need a chopping board, etc. stick to electric choppers or dicing by hand.

It's not that great as you seen on the TV Reviewer: Pamelor "CMY" 04-26-2004 First, the space is so small, you only allow to chop one garlic; second, the blade isn't that sharp;the worse part is that it become rusty after washed.

BEST FRIEND Reviewer: Anonymous 03-11-2004 MY WIFE HAS USED THIS ITEM FOR CHOPPING HERBS AND GARLIC FOR YEARS. IT IS THE ONLY THING SHE FEELS DOES THE BEST JOB. OUR RECIPES ALWAYS USE HERBS AND GARLIC AND IF YOU ENJOY THE SOUTH BEACH DIET RECIPES, THIS IS A MUST HAVE.

Slow Chop Reviewer: Elizabeth D. Morales Grand Prairie, TX 09-12-2003 I bought the quick chop which promised to CHOP ice. Fifteen minutes, two bruised palms, and some watery ice later, I have my chopped ice. Maybe the fifteen minutes is a small exaggeration, but I would recommend using your good ol' refridgerator door ice machine instead of this bad boy. On a more positive note, it DID cut potatoes after being cut by hand into small chunks, but then I had to pry the chunks out from between the blades. Quick chop is not the right word for this device.

ste of time Reviewer: "kp1129" atlanta, ga United States 08-12-2003 I purchased this item from a tv ad. It seems neat and easy but the food keeps getting stuck in between the blades. a good old fashion knife will do!

Makes my life MUCH easier Reviewer: Gary Cundiff Tulsa, OK USA 06-23-2003 I love this handy little chopper - don't know how I lived without it! Works great with just about everything I've tried to chop. Just remember it's a small chopper and can't handle alot at one time but makes quick work of chopping in small quanities. Very easy clean up.

Cheap is as cheap does Reviewer: Anonymous 05-29-2003 This definitely was not worth the $9 or whatever I paid for it. I found a sharp knife to be much faster than the Quick Chop. The product couldn't even cut through a one inch slice of onion! I agree with reviewer who suggested buying a small food processor, it will likely be worth the extra cash.

Dull blade! Reviewer: Jennifer L. Palmer Roy, UT United States) - See all my reviews 02-23-2003 I bought this thinking it would be perfect for making salsa. On the first of 3 tomatoes, I put one half in the unit and it chopped it perfectly, on the next half it partially chopped the tomato. By the time I moved on to the second tomato the blades were competely dull, half of the tomato had worked it's way up inside the unit and it had mangled the tomato beyond recognition. This product is an absolute joke and not worth the money. It went back to the store three hours after I bought it and I will be purchasing the same item from Williams Sonoma for $10 more that I know is a quality product. In this case you don't get what you pay for, you get less

Dull and Rusty Reviewer: Anonymous 01-09-2003 Bought this chopper to save time cutting up vegetables for my impatient toddler. Not only does it not cut well becaues the blades are dull, it rusted almost immediately when I put it in the dishwasher. I thought this thing was supposed to be dishwasher safe. I would recommend buying a smalll, easy to clean food processor instead.

This chopper does not cut it! Reviewer: Anonymous 12-21-2002
I would have to say this is not as useful as I originally had thought it would be when I purchased it. I was hoping to use it to chop onions and avoid burning my eyes. This chopper does not cut it! On any vegetables with soft skins (bell peppers/onions) it leaves mushy due to the dullness of the blade. It does, however, work well on sliced pickles and nuts. I hate slicing pickles for tuna sandwiches and chasing nuts around the chopping board is less of a hassle now. Although I don't think it would work too well on whole pickles, again because of the blades are too dull to slice through the skins.

Awful, terrible, DON'T waste your money! Reviewer: Anonymous 12-11-2002 The first time I "tried" to use this item, I tried chopping up a bell pepper. Instead of cutting through the pepper, it just "squished" it. The blades wouldn't go through the pepper. Next tried an onion....no luck. This item doesn't even come close to performing as shown in the infomercial. Don't waste your money on this one!

Don't Buy! Reviewer: Anonymous 12-09-2002 Don't bother with this machine. I can't even get it to chop through the bottom layer of an onion. And forget putting a whole onion in the chopper. The blades are dull and you have to pre-cut items to make them fit in chopper. Waste of time and money.

Quick Chop - Quickly Frustrates. Reviewer: Anonymous 12-05-2002 I saw the quick chop, and couldn't resist. I had heard such good things. Needless to say, it was a huge dissappointment. Save your $10 and buy a decent knife. It will probably end up saving you just as much, if not more time. Quick Chop, thanks for nothing.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about Reviewer: Anonymous 12-02-2002 ..I'm DISABLED and I don't have any trouble using the Quick Chop. Actually I've been very happy with it. I was able to chop 2 bags of cranberries in less then 5 minutes, and yes, you do need to do small amounts at a time, but that should be obvious, it is NOT a big food processor! It works great on nutmeats, and everything else I've tried. I am so pleased with it that I am buying several for Christmas presents.

Size doesn't matter Reviewer: Anonymous 12-01-2002 This item is not all that bad. Sure, it's small but it works for what I need. When I have to dice carrots, celery or onions really small this thing does it's job. I would never try to crush ice! If you don't have the time to dice your vegetables get this product! You do have to chop your vegetables into small pieces but it will dice/mince for you. I haven't tried potatoes but I'm sure it will work as long as you don't try to chop a whole potato! What do you really expect for [the price]?

That's all they're gettin' for Christmas! Reviewer: Anonymous 11-29-2002 ...I love mine! I use it for chopping small stuff like nuts, herbs and chocolate chunks. Chopping garlic and shallots is great because one tap releases the outside layer and then I just quickly remove that and chop away. It chops dense veggies like carrots without any problem. Tomatoes, however, can be a little messy. It cleans really fast, just a few swipes and rinse. The only thing is that in reality, it does a great job only when you pound it. It's not a "tap" (except for the first garlic/shallot hit). So far mine has held up very well over many poundings - oops - uses. I love mine so much that everyone on my list is getting one for Christmas - even me. I'm getting a spare with a folding cutting board next.

Do NOT buy! Reviewer: Anonymous 12-28-2002 If I could rate this 0 stars, I would. Do not buy this quick chop. I've used this one and it does not work! There are better ones on the market though. The little bit extra in cost is well worth it. If you get a good one, it can cut down on your prep time. This one is not a good one!

This Thing Sucks Reviewer: Victoria Bates Minneapolis,Minnesota 11-08-2002 I am a chef by nature so I bought this little instrument from Target thinking it would cut down on my prep time boy was I wrong. It was a waste of 10 bucks its now in the junkyard take my advice by a good chefs knife with the money you might invest in this.

Break Chop Reviewer: Anonymous 10-18-2002 Don't even try crushing ice with this, like they show on the infomercial. It bent the blade, and became unusable. It was a big waste of money. Even when you are chopping something it can chop, you can only chop small quantities.

Does Not Work! Reviewer: Sandee T Sunnyvale, CA USA 10-14-2002 This product does NOT work. The blades would not rotate like they did in the TV commercial. The blades were also dull, you could barely chop a Tomato.
Save your money and spend it on a good knife.

Waste of money Reviewer: shandac 10-08-2002 I purchased the Quick Chop thinking that it would cut down on some prep work in the kitchen, boy was I wrong. Anything I tried to chop up, got stuck in the blades. I used this one time, and got rid of it. Please don't waste your money.

Sloooow Chop Reviewer: Anonymous 10-02-2002 This is the first time I have ever rated an item. I felt like I had to tell everybody about this one!!! Please do not buy this item, you will be glad I saved you the ten bucks. I tried to chop up several things. The base is so small you have to cut up the pieces sort of small to fit it underneath the blades. The potatoes that I tried to chop up kept getting stuck in the blades. It was so frustrating. My husband and I both took turns. After about ten minutes of frustration I threw the dumb thing in the trash!!! Save your money, or better yet get an electric food processor!!!

dont even think of getting it Reviewer: Vikas NJ, USA 09-24-2002 being single i thought it will help me to make cooking a little easy...but this was a worthless product. First, the inside volume is very less and secondly so called steel blades start rusting after 8 weeks...

No tears or fears, chop-chop Reviewer: Morgan Glines Derwood, MD United States 08-23-2002 Best gadget to come along since the garlic peeler. Even more uses, I like it with ripe tomatoes, a clove of garlic and some fresh basil. Add a little olive oil and it's the best 10-second spread ever put on sourdough. It would take me 5 minutes to do it with a knife and with the Quick Chop, my fingers are safe. With onions I can choose from mince to coarse chop and never shed a tear because it's an undercover operation.
Send me one free and I will be your friend.

Great way for speed in the kitchen Reviewer: MarieJ 08-09-2002 Quick chop will save you lots of time in the kitchen. It is very easy to use and much quicker than the old fashioned knife. It cleans up very well in the dishwasher and the price is great!

Cheap. Reviewer: Anonymous Illinois 12-10-2006 This was one of the most cheaply made things I have ever used. Don't waste your money. A nightmare to clean. Pampered Chef makes a very nice version.
