When word got out that I was experimenting with chocolate, my friends rushed over to my house. I even got the nick name "Chocolate Factory." With this kit, inventing decadent, new techniques is easier than tossing salad! Anything is better when it's dunked in chocolate.

Why would anyone buy this after reading the product description? Has anyone else noticed how Amazon's quality of service has declined? For example, the text reads: "now you can make you own deserts." Well, I'll be darned. I thought Mother Nature only made deserts.

A big thumb's up! Coincidentally, after I purchased this item, the people in my social circle started calling me "Chocolate Factory."

With this, inventing decadent new techniques is easier than tossing salad! Just about anything is better when it's dunked in chocolate - even nuts! Once word got out that I was experimenting, people were leaving skid-marks behind as they rushed over to my house.

One of my closest pals even tried dipping his fist, but that resulted in a trip to the emergency room.

It's not quite the same thing as making fudge - which I used to pack and ship off to friends (and even strangers) - but variety is the spice of life!

I bought the Chocolate Factory for my daughter for her birthday, and I am very disappointed in it. It is very cheaply made. The double boiler is tiny and the edges are rough. The molds are very flimsy. If you need to move a mold after filling it, be sure to place it on a cookie sheet before filling it. The ladle was already broken when we opened the box.

I am not a cynical person and I buy lots of stuff off TV... with all the promises they make I just can't resist myself. But lately I have been reading reviews on amazon.com by other people who have bought the products I am interested in. So I hope this one helps you!
My sisters and I saw this on TV and thought it looked so cool. I love chocolate, and making my own desserts (I love to be a hostess). So I asked for it for Christmas and got it. I thought it would come in a nice box, maybe with compartments to store it. or at least something I could put the parts back INTO easily after I was done; it came in a plain brown cardboard box that was taped shut, and all the parts were just thrown in there. I shrugged it off, thinking that for the "low, low" price of $19.95, they didn't spend a lot of time on packaging.
This is ANOTHER A.S.O.T.V. product that has a BAJILLION parts, which I hate, because I have to find a place to store them all. It has the double boiler, the ladle, the molds, the plastic bags, a squeeze bottle, etc, etc.. Of course all the parts are cheap and flimsy, and all made in China. The double boiler is not even PUT TOGETHER, and since assembling it myself it has gotten loose several times.
I used this ONE TIME and ONE TIME ONLY. It has been in the cardboard box since I last used it. If this were a high-qual product I would recommend it for people who make chocolate all the time, but the parts are so cheap that it would be better to go to a craft store or a shop that specializes in cakes and candies to get more high quality parts. If you use them, the more expensive parts will be worth the extra money. If you want a disposable $20 piece of junk that you will never use again, buy this!
