    They Rust
Reviewer: Anonymous       09-09-2003
I don't like these knives at all. They are decently made, but will rust if you wash them and let them air-dry. You need to wipe them dry with a cloth.

    Fraudulent Project
Reviewer: Anonymous       09-09-2003
This product is fraudulent. I am taking the knives back to the store for a refund.

    No Good
Reviewer: Anonymous       07-11-2045
This product is simply no good. You get what you pay for.

    Very Happy!
Reviewer: Anonymous       07-05-2003
I have had these knives for over a year & they are still as sharp as when I bought them. Each of the knives is excellent & there are no signs of rust on any of them. They come on a beautiful, wooden block. I am very happy with these knives.

    Flimsy
Reviewer: Anonymous       02-11-2004
These knives feel really flimsy. They are also not completely dishwasher safe. I found that they rust easily. Customer service was no help at all. BUYER BEWARE!

    Save Your Money!
Reviewer: Anonymous       03-23-2003
These knives are terrible. They started to rust after only a few washings. The handle is flimsy and moves around when you try to cut, indicating that the knife blade isn't securely attached to the handle. The labels on the knives, that tell you what kind of knife each one is, came off after one washing. Save your money!

    They're Fine
Reviewer: Anonymous       12-28-2002
What do you expect for $40.00? The knives are fine & cut well. Customer service however could use a makeover.

Stainless Steel should not RUST but they do!
Reviewer: David Mark "ddmark"   Champlain, NY USA    07-11-2005
They are sharp and work great for the first 8 or so months. Afterwards, they start to rust. This is crap. Do not buy this item. Not worth the money.

    BOGUS
Reviewer: Michael Keating       06-11-2005

Dont buy Them.

They get dull after a while while they say they last forever... YEAH right!

    Yes, they do rust..
Reviewer: C.D.   Georgia, USA    05-30-2005
I ran into these reviews because I was searching on the net for Sharpkut (which someone mentioned in a review of this product) The reason I am looking for a set of the Sharpkut is because I am so disappointed in the Miracle Blade knives. I received a set as a Christmas present in 2003 and started using them about mid-2004. They are very sharp which is the only reason did not give them a rating of 1. Within a month they started showing rust spots on them. I never knew stainless steel would rust. Every time I pull one out of the dishwasher and have to scour it to get the rust off I think of my 25 year old Sharpkut bread and paring knife that I'm still using and are still sharp after all these years. Today, after once again seeing the rust on the Miracle Blades (it's a "Miracle" stainless steel rusts?), I decided to do something about it. I hope the Sharpkut are made as well today as they were 25 years ago because I'm about to buy a set of them and throw out the Miracle Blades!

    Last knife set you'll need
Reviewer: blakletter   Brooklyn, NY United States    02-02-2005
The negatives- These knives are sharp as heck, and you do have to be careful with them. The logos are not put very well on the handles, and they do tend to fall off. And that's it.

Yes, that's right. The biggest problem with these knives are that they are RIDICULOUSLY sharp. Logos? Who cares? MAde in China? Yeah, so? *Really sharp* knives, flexible blades in a variety of shapes for multiple purposes, lifetime guarantee to replace if they go dull. What more could you want?

The first time I tried to cut a tomato with one of these things, the tomato screamed and fell apart into perfectly symmetrical slices.

So yeah. Good knives.

Longer knives too flexible...not sharp anymore!
Reviewer: Sheri A. Sigley "plant lady   White Salmon, WA    12-23-2004
I ordered my set off t.v. when they first started advertising the new set, so have had mine well over a year now. It did come with a block, 4 extra steak knives (didn't come with a utility knife and use the steak knives as such), an extra super slicer, juicer (all white--works just fine), etc. The first day I had them my teenage son cut his finger cutting something, so they were razor sharp, however after a years' use they are downright dangerous to use! They lost their sharp edge and I didn't do to them what Chef Tony did to the ones on t.v.! I darn near cut my finger off trying to cut a raw potatoe in half with the "Chop 'N Scoop". The blade is so thin that it flexed, the knife went sideways and nearly got my finger. I have found that the most used knives in the set will all lose their edge within a year, depending on use. My husband hates the long slicer with the twin points at the end--when you finish a slice, drawing the blade backward and begin to go back over whatever you're slicing, the points can accidently get stuck in the food item, causing your hand and arm to come to a sudden halt and can result in your hand sliding up to the actual blade and getting cut. It should glide smoothly over the item until you come to the spot you want to start slicing at.

I was very disappointed when I received these and opened up the box. You had to put your own logos on the knife handles! Anytime the consumer has to put the company's logo "stickers" on the knife handles, you know you're not dealing with quality!! To top that off, the glue used on the stickers was cheap and most fell off within the first two handwashings. They were fairly screaming cheap, cheap, cheap! By the time I paid shipping and handling I had spent $95 and the block was supposed to be "free". I'm pretty sure I paid for it! By the way, I recently purchased a magnetic knife holder for the kitchen wall (MIU France makes a really nice one) and got rid of the knife block that took up valuable counter space. It's an option for those of you who didn't get the knife block with your set.

I must say, though, that mine have never rusted or broken (thought one would once) even though they were made in China. I have also never tried to sharpen them. I might try that just for the fun of seeing how fast they turn to toothpicks or if it's even possible to sharpen. All-in-all, I am disgusted with them and their claims. I recently went online and purchased Wusthof's Grand Prix series and let me tell you there's a world of difference between them! First, the stainless steel looks entirely different from the Miracle Blade's (no mottling) and the blades are heftier and go all the way through the handles. Second, the blades were just as sharp, or sharper, as the Miracle's and I know I can sharpen these! Third, I got to pick the pieces I wanted. I guess that old saying my parents grew up with still holds true--buy the best and you won't have to buy it again (or "You get what you pay for")! Because over the last 10 years I have purchased no less than four (probably more like five or six) knife sets and none have lasted.:=( Hopefully I will never have to buy knives again. The Miracle Blades are destined for my daughter's yard sale or my husband's workshop, although I wonder if that's a good idea--he might chop something off trying to cut something. We all know the most dangerous knife is the dullest one. Maybe I will try sharpening them first. Wonder how long they'd last out there in his shop???

    very low grade stainless-rusts
Reviewer: Sheri A. Sigley "plant lady   Windsor Locks, Ct United States    12-04-2004
I would not recommend this set for any reason. I ordered this set and the one offered by ron popeil for the same price. The Popeil set had more items and was just a more substantial product. My miracle III knives have rust stains and the small chopper is so thin that it is nicked. Plus, the sets were $39.00 when they were made in the USA. Now they are made in china and sell for the same price. Do not be fooled by the wonderful television ad's. the set from popeil is far superior and the same price.

update: 10 mar 05. these people are impossible. my knives are RUSTING. stainless steel!!!!!!!! i called miracle blade two months ago. they were going to send me a new set. That was after being cut off 3 times. their computers were down. i called them again the other day and was told their computers were down. finally i called and said i wanted to place an order and it was a miracle, the computers suddenly came up. i finally demanded a supervisor, none available. i was told i would have to pay $29.00 for the warranty. i laughed. i had to pay $14.99 for shipping. they are just sleezy. look into sharpkut II. they are great knives. i have had one for twenty years. i thought that miracle blade was the same company. NOT. sharpkut II knives are made in the USA and don't rust. trust me. stay away from miracle blade.

    Easy solution to rusting/breaking
Reviewer: savvy shopper "mlm22"       11-26-2004
So far these knives are working ok for me. However, if you have trouble with them rusting or breaking, don't waste your time trying to contact these idiots online. Just go to Target, buy another set, wait a couple of weeks, and then return the original set that rusted or broke with the new receipt and get your money back. Works every time. As long as they continue to sell it, you have an unlimited lifetime warranty! After all, if your knife rusted or broke, they weren't being very honest with the consumers in the first place. So why get taken twice by getting angry or frustrated trying to contact them (in vain) online.

    Maybe Maybe Not
Reviewer: Maggie   Atlanta, GA    11-13-2004
I have loved these knives for almost a year. However, the filet knife broke tonight. After reading about the non responsive customer (no) service, I am wondering if I will ever hear from the company even though I have registered my knives once by mail and once on-line. The knives have worked great, however, if a company will not stand by their product don't waste your money -- vote with your feet and pick a better made product with a company that will stand behind their product.

Miracle Blade Knives - the best I've used - ever!!!
Reviewer: Carol Lugg   Colorado Springs, CO USA    09-11-2004
I received these knives(I have the miracle blade II set) from my father last Christmas. As it happened, we really needed a new set of knives. Wow! These knives are fantastic! Not too long after I got mine, a friend of ours bought a set, and she is just as pleased with her knives. They not only look nice, they actually do the job! Now, I wouldn't have anything else!

Stainless Steel?? I'm not so sure.
Reviewer: Lara Kelly   Los Angeles, CA    08-04-2004
Okay so I started using these knives literally three weeks ago and over half of them have started to show signs of rusting (all the steak knives and both slicers). I thought the whole point of stainless steel was that it wasn't supposed to rust. But either I've been misinformed or Miracle Blade is LYING. There is no way these are actually stainless steel. I've gone through my entire life never seeing a stainless steel item rust. Except these knives. To be fair, the knives are very sharp (except the paring knife).

All I have to say is:

BUYER BEWARE

    horrible!!
Reviewer: Jenny   New Jersey    07-08-2004
At first I loved them.. Handwashed them only. Within 3 months, all of the knives rusted. I wrote emails to the company with out any response. They still cut great... but they look horrible and I can't let company see. I would NOT recommend these to anyone.

    Wonderful Knives - No Problems
Reviewer: Anonymous       06-14-2004
I was given these knives as a gift. Cautiuos - I thought okay they are free. I actually love the knives. I find them comfortable to use. I have cut up so many boxes that the recycle guy thinks I live there and not they are not dull yet. I haven't cut on the concrete yet but will try one day. They sure do cut frozen meat well. I have cut carpet, hose, a wooden dowel, and other things. I put mine in the dishwasher with no problems. I don't see any rust or damage.
They only thing stange is the "juicer" that came with mine. I am not sure what it is for. It is too fragile to use. But the knives are great.

    steak knives
Reviewer: joy       05-10-2004
I have found that the steak knives are dull as well as the scissors after a short period of time. One of the steak knives broke off at the handle and I have been E-mailing customer service for 6 months now with NO response back. I have tried the 800 number several times at different times of the day and it always says there are no represenatives avail. and please call back... I would not buy these knives again...

    Great Knifes - Handwash
Reviewer: Anonymous       04-14-2004
The directions state to handwash only, I have & they still look and cut great! The Rock n Chop is the knife that I find the most useful, great at anything I pitch at it.

    I love these knives!
Reviewer: Anonymous       04-03-2004
I am a cook, and we have these knives at work. I have been smitten with them, since the first day I saw them in the cutlery drawer. Wow. I have never had such ease in cutting through potatoes, carrots, anything.. The Rock n chop is my favorite, but I have found many uses for all of them. They have me entirely spoiled, and I MUST have a set for my house. I dislike using any other knife.. They all seem dull compared to these. I was excited to see that Target sells them, so that I don't have to pay the $15 s&h that Miracle Blade charges. We wash the knives in a sanitizer, at work, and have never had any problems with rust or anything. I HIGHLY reccomend these knives to ANYONE. I don't like cooking without them. They are truly fantastic knives. (in my hunble opinion...)

    Watch for flying broken blades!
Reviewer: Anonymous       03-25-2045
If you plan to purchase this product, NEVER treat these knives like so called Chef Tony did. The cheaply made filet knife broke with a slight bend, stickers fell off within a week, and they all became dull with common use. The slicer is great for bread, though all of the blades are made from inferior metals. Hype sells, but not good product most of the time

    Great knives for the price!!!
Reviewer: Anonymous       02-25-2004
This is a great set of knives for the price! I've owned them for 2 months now & my time spent cutting in the kitchen is greatly reduced. They cut easier than any other set of knives I own. they seem to hold their edge very nicely. Although...I think the filet knife could have been designed a little better. I spent a week cutting anything I can think of, the knives handled every job very well & stayed sharp! These are very sharp knives...Listen to the warnings on the package! I almost cut my finger the first time I used them...Thank goodness for finger nails! I sliced it right off! They are also backed by a lifetime warranty! Ya can't beat that!!!

    Sharp but Rusts very easily
Reviewer: Ray   San Diego, CA    02-23-2004
I bought these knives in end of Dec 2003. They are quite sharp and cut things well. The problem with them is that they rust very easily (rusted within Jan) although I never put them in diswasher. I tried calling their customer service for complaint and I was told that they will be replaced but never received the replacement!!! However, later I found out that although I registered the warranty by mail and phone IT WAS NEVER REGISTERED!!
Anyway, be careful when you buy them. If I have a choice I would probabaly go with a little more expensive quality and have the peace of mind of spending money on knives that don't rust.

    These are AMAZING
Reviewer: "markjh82"   Sioux Falls, SD United States    02-16-2004
Well, I bought a set of these knives a few weeks ago and I just had to make sure that Chef Tony wasn't a big fat liar. I cut through about everything I could find. Damn was my wife pissed. It was worth is though. I now find myself using these knives for puposes other than cooking. I laid new carpet in my bedroom with their help. Simply amazing. I recommend these to anyone who needs a good knife, but don't be fooled by their use in the kitchen. Use them anywhere you want. Like butchering your own deer.

    Extremely Sharp Knives!
Reviewer: Christopher Brehm   South Wales, New York USA    01-11-2004
I bought these knives for my girlfriend and WOW they are impressive. I actually cut my finger on the first day regardless of the repeated warnings. I have cut slices of bread in half and diced baby carrots. I've had no problems and it has a lifetime guarantee!

    THEY ARE A MIRACLE
Reviewer: Matthew Rust   Lovely Saint Louis    01-05-2004
I purchased these knives with Christmas money from my mother in law. They are spectacular. I was so excited that I bought them online and went to UPS to pick them up! When I got them, I spent all night chopping stuff. I cut banannas in mid air, I cut leather steel-toed boots, I even used them to cut the bottom off of my Christmas Tree. I use these knives 20 times a day. The best knife is the Rock and Chop because it is so thick and heavy, but I use the rest as well. On the box, it states that they must be hand washed, which is no problem for me. I hand wash them with that same care that I would hand wash a baby. At $40, these are a great deal. I wish they would make a Premium Series with the blade all the way through the handles--maybe even wooden handles. They are guranteed, though, so no worrying about the blades breaking or falling out. I highly recommend these.

NOT the sharpest knife in the drawer!!
Reviewer: Matthew Rust   Wausau, WI USA    12-27-2003
I got a set of these for my birthday. I was thrilled. For about 10 minutes. The knives worked fine the first couple of times I used them. Do not put them in a dishwasher, they will rust! The filet knife is shaped wonderfully but it will not hold an edge. I used it for cutting unfrozen raw boneless beef. The chop and scoop larger flat knife was my favorite. I was very disappointed when, one day I was 'scooping' up some onions I had sliced and the blade broke in half!!!
I would not waste my money on these.

    Best knife set ever!
Reviewer: Anonymous       12-26-2003
I bought this set on TV and have been using them for a few months now. I am VERY happy with them. They work wonderful (better than I expected) and I am buying extra sets for my mother and sister. Worth every penny I spent (and more)

    Couldn't live without them
Reviewer: Rachel   Tulsa, OK USA    12-23-2003
I bought these knives off of tv when they were advertising them. The knives are great. The Rock n Chop is my favorite. Everyone who cooks needs these. Plus, they have a lifetime warranty!! You will not be sorry if you purchase them.

    A knife for everyone
Reviewer: Anonymous       12-23-2003
These knives are very nice because they are so sharp. I find I never use the actual "miracle blade" only the other knives in the set, because it's just too long. I love the chopping and filet knives, and my husband loves the rock and chop blade. I just wish they came in a storage block

    Worth the money!
Reviewer: Anonymous       12-16-2003
My husband bought these for me on a whim, and I love them. They are the best set of knives I have ever used. I cut things quicker and easier with them.

    NEED A STORAGE BLOCK!!!
Reviewer: Julie   California    12-14-2003
I have also heard wonderful things about this knife set, but they will do me no good without a block. I don't understand how Target can sell knives without one.

    They didn't charge me enough!
Reviewer: Dave Blau   Auburn, CA    11-17-2003
I bought this set from TV infomercial and I have to say that it is everything they said it was and more! The juicer is a joke but the knives are the best I have ever held. Just be extremely careful when washing them as you can cut yourself very easily. Be sure to keep these OUT OF THE REACH OF CHILDREN. They are razor shape and they don't dull.

    Not stainless steel?

i've been looking at these reviews and it occured to me; The knives may be stainless steel, but with another metal finish or coating.

I purchased 2 sets of these knives one for me and 1 for my brother. Both sets are rusted and my brother has NOT even used his. I will say they are sharp and work great BUT stainless steel does NOT rust. This product in my opinion is a scam. In my brochure it states handwash OR put in dishwasher blade down, yet they(knives) are ALL rusted, even the 2 we have NEVER used!! Go figure that one out. Please contact me if you would like help with yours. The company was no help in getting the warranty activated and wanted to charge me more for the warranty than what I paid for the knives to begin with. My email information is genellehoivik@yahoo.com
Please contact me and I can tell you how you can also get help.

    Overall, good.
Reviewer: Genelle Hoivik (genellehoivik@yahoo.com)   Illinois    12-10-2006
My mom bought these knives at JcPenny one year after Christmas. And I love them. They do chut, chop, mince, etc very well, but as for the cutting a concrete brick - I don't advise it. My only complaint would be that the scalloped edge on the steak kinves has sorta of....curved would be the right word. But they still cut very well.

    no rust and sharp

I have had these knives for over 6 years and they have never rusted and are still as sharp as the day I got them.....great knives.
