This is the second version of this clock I have owned: the quality of the birdcalls on this one is quite good! It's fairly well made (doesn't look cheap - pardon the pun), attractive enough to fit in with home decor.
What I chuckle about - every hour of each day - is that no matter where I am in the house, on the hour some bird lets loose and sings it's little heart out (startling most visitors). Eventually, one gets used to what 'call' is what bird, and thus can tell the hour by sound (might be helpful to the vision impaired). I actually like this clock better than the Audubon version because these are common backyard birds; those tired of common calls might like the Audubon version better.
This makes me chuckle every hour: there's a lot to be said for that!
