Through the years I have bought many different types of garden hose reels. Some expensive and some inexpensive. This hose reel may be a little pricey, but it will perform better and outlast all the other hose reels I've owned.
If you're looking for true quality, this is the hose reel to get.
Probably the best hose reel on the market

This is an extremely durable, well-made hose reel. However, it doesn't include a mounting hardware kit (i.e., screws) or even so much as written advice as to what mounting screws will ideally support its weight. Unfortunately, you'll need to guess and find the right mounting screws or toggle-bolts on your own. Despite these short-comings, I still highly recommend this reel as it was by far the most well-engineered product I could find on the market (no leaks/drips as the connection points, either).
Simple Perfect

After years of fighting with sub standard garden hose reels, I have finally found the perfect one. You can see and feel the quality as soon as you open the box. The mounting plat is easy to install drilled for a 16 inch stud spacing. 4 Lag bolts and your off and running (note, the bolts are not included). The manual says it can handle 150 feet of 5/8 hose, but I was able to put 200 feet on with no extra effort. When you need to unwine the hose it is effortless. I was able to pull all 200 feet out with little effort. I like this item so much I am ordering a second one for the front of the house.
