If price is an issue for you (it was for me) Reviewer: Anonymous 06-17-2004 If your heart is set on the NutriCounter device, they have an option to pay
it in 3 installments of $29.95 US from your credit card instead of all at
once. But you will end up paying more that way than if you paid for it in
one payment of $79.95 US.

Very Pricey!!! Reviewer: Anonymous 07-12-2004 Cost is too much. I avoided this diet as well as others I know.

Dropped 10 Pounds Reviewer: Anonymous 06-21-2004 Using this I was able to drop 10 pounds in 2 months. Hopefully over time the weight won't return as it has with numberous other diets I've been on.

The best way to keep track of nutritional intake Reviewer: Anonymous 07-26-2004 I haven't seen anything else like this on the market. I love this concept. My friends and I have both been using this for 6 months and both of us have lost about 15 pounds each. Works like a charm!

Nutricounter...large database Reviewer: Anonymous 07-26-2004 I couldn't believe how big the database was. There are so many different types of foods that this device calculates. I was worried that some of my foods would not be able to be calculated, but they are.

Useful Tool Overall Reviewer: LG Saint Charles, MO USA 02-24-2004 Overall I am pleased with the NutriCounter. The ability to track calories, fat, cholesterol, sodium, AND carbs is fantastic. It is easy to use and I love the flexibility of adding additional food items into its memory. It's also small enough to carry with you so that you can record your foods as you consume them, rather than trying to remember what you ate hours later.
My only criticism (and the reason for only giving it four stars) is that although individual food items may show fractions, the NutriCounter only saves your amounts consumed in whole numbers by rounding up or down. This can make a big difference when you're counting carbs. For example, the low-carb candy I have been eating has only 0.2 net carbs each. Because I would only eat one candy every couple of hours, I was recording them one at a time as they were eaten. It wasn't until several days later that I noticed that when I would save that one candy, it was recording it as zero carbs because of the rounding.

FitDay Is Better Reviewer: Anonymous 05-27-2006 FitDay cost me 29.99 total and keeps track of everything from my goal, calories eaten, activities logged, all on my pc. It offers advice and lets you know if what you're trying to accomplish is unhealthy. Keep a food journal of what you used to eat that caused you to retain extra weight and it will tell you how many calories you must cut out to lose your desired amount of weight. You can have up to 4 or 5 user accounts too
